Official International Exams
With globalization, speaking English is no longer an added value and became a mandatory requirement, especially in multinational companies, which now have been requiring the applicant submitting to certain jobs to present his/her score at TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), which is composed of 2 parts: Listening and Reading, lasts 2 hours and portrays the proficiency and knowledge of the business language oriented to the labor market, focused on the North-American English.
Traducenter not only prepares students for the TOEIC exam, through a specific course, but Traducenter is an accredited applicator center.
On the other hand TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) aims at assessing the English of those who want to join university in the United States or Canada, therefore, vocabulary and texts are more focused on academic subjects. Traducenter does not apply the test, but offers preparatory courses for TOEFL, what is currently offered in two forms: internet-based and paper-based. The paper-based TOEFL (PBT) gives a score ranging from 310 to 670 while Internet-based (IBT) gives a score from 0 to 120. Both are valid for only two years, as foreign language skills may change over time.
Traducenter also offers a preparatory course for the SLEP (Secondary Level Proficiency English), a test designed to measure skills in reading and comprehension of spoken and written English for students wishing to engage in exchange programs. The test lasts 90 minutes and is divided into 2 parts: Listening and Reading, with questions that reflect the usual English, spoken in public schools, where their questions were tested. The SLEP is also used by schools that offer courses in English as a Second Language, to evaluate the proficiency of candidates for such courses abroad.
Traducenter also offers preparatory courses for IELTS (International English Language Test System) and TEAP (Test for English for Academic Purposes), throughout the year, in groups, pairs, trios or individually.
